Geotechnical Engineering Evaluation <br />Mukiltco Boulevard Development <br />Mukilteo, Washington <br />I;VTRODUCTION <br />Tl�c project sitc is located from 3606 to 3710 Mul:ilteo Boulevard, in Everett, Washingron, as shown on <br />thc Vicinity Map in �igure I. We have been retaineti to explore the subsurface conditions at the site and <br />prepare this report to document our findings ancl provide preliminary recommcndations for site <br />dcvclopmcnt. Por thc purpose of completing this study, we have becn provided with an clectronic copy <br />of a site plan prepared by C& C Surveying, dated Octobcr 30, 2000, tiNed, "Topographic Survcy for Tom <br />Nielson/ Rex T. Strickland:' This site plan shows existing topographic information and existing <br />stn�ctures. Wc have also been provided with a site plan prepared by Fred Qaxtcr & Associatcs dated <br />llecembcr 12, 2002, titled, "Strickland/Nielsen Mixed Use Project." This site plan shows thc locations of <br />the planned structures and pavements arcas, the locations of the planned detention vaidt and detention <br />pond. Finished tloor elevations for the planned stn�ctures are also indicated. <br />Threc residcnccs and a commercial stn�cture presenUy occupy thc site. Two of the residenccs and thc <br />commcrcial structurc will be demolishcd. Onc of the e�isting residences within the site will be moved to <br />the cnstern portion of thc site. Sevcn structures with associated access roads and underground utilities nre <br />pinnned for thc sitc. Thrce of thc structures will bc nmlti-family residential, thrce of thc structures will bc <br />mixed residential and commcrcinl space, m�d onc of thc structures will be a restaurant. Twcnty-sis <br />residential units and 4,080 square fcet of commercial space will be constnicted. With the excuption of the <br />singlo-story restaurant, all of tl�c structures will havc hvo storics and a basement. Thc bascmcnts arc ta <br />have an clevation up to ten fcet below U�c surrounding grade. Retaining walls will be constructcd on thc <br />southern side ofthe structures with bascments. <br />A stonmvatcr detcntion vnult is planned witliin the nonlicrn portion of thc site ncar Mukiltco E3oulevard, <br />whilc a detcntion pond is pinnncd within thc southcast corncr of the site. Mr. Prcd Baxter, the project <br />architcct, has infomicd us that thc bottom of the dctcntion vault ���ill be approximately 12 fcet bclow <br />csisting gradc. The detention pond will ha��c an a��crage Jeptli of l.� feet. Tlic e�isting sitc layout is <br />shown on thc Sitc Plan in Figurc 2. <br />Cuts up to IZ feet are planned f'or placemcnt of thc planncd structures. We anticipate that some filling <br />���ill bc necded for acccss road��a}� grading. Thc uzact amounts of fill wcre not known at the time this <br />rcport �aas prcparcd. <br />
