58. The Washington State Clean Air Act requires the use of all known, available, and <br /> reasonable means of controlling air pollu�on, including dust. Dust generated during <br /> construction activities can be controlled by wetting those dust sources such as areas of <br /> ezposed soils, washing truck wheels before they leave the site, and installing and <br /> maintaining gravel conswction entrances. Construction vehicle track-out is also a <br /> major dust source. Any evidence of track-out can trigger violations and fines from ihe <br /> Department of Ecology or the Puget Sound A'v Poliution Control Agency. <br /> 59. Further development of the site beyond that covered by this SEPA decision or a change <br /> in use of the bmldings to a more intensive use may requve addidonal SEPA review. <br /> GENERAL INFORMATION <br /> i. The Police Department has Ne following security recommendaUons: <br /> a. Lighting of the parking lot should be a minimum of 3-4 foot candles. <br /> b. A monitored fire and inuvsion alarm system zoned for each entity should be <br /> provided. To provide protection in case of armed robbery, include remote <br /> panic buttons and/or foot trip if using customer counter. <br /> c. If o�ces will be handling cash, an actual money safe should be installed (for <br /> nezt day receipts only). Seismic detectors and passive infrared alarm senson <br /> should also be installed in the room. <br /> d. The perimeter doors should be solid core or metal with double cylinder dead- <br /> bolts installed. If doors open to the outside, or hinges aze ezposed, pin hinges <br /> should be provided. <br /> e. If store front glass doors are part of the project, they should have locking case <br /> bolts top and bottom. 'fhe door should have a mazimum security dead-bolt with <br /> 1 3/4" throw and 3/4" laminatecl steel. <br /> f. Metalsecurity bay doors can be tecured with 3/8" case-hardened steel hasps or <br /> chain and padlocks with 1/2" case-hardened steelshackles. <br /> g. The more office windows that are visible to the parking azea, the safer the area <br /> is from assaults and thefts. <br /> h. If udlizing fcmcing, it should be 6 feet chain link. <br /> i. During the final stages of construction, please contact Dick Thornberry, Crime <br /> Prevention Officer, at 259-0416 for further security recommenda6ons. <br /> 2. The Snohomish County PUD currently has sufficient capacity to serve the proposed <br /> development.
