Noise <br /> 1) What types of noise exist in the area which may affe:t your <br /> project (far example: traffic, aircraft, equipment, operation, <br /> other)? <br /> None. <br /> 2) What types and levels of noise would be created by or associated <br /> with the project on a short-term or a long-term basis (trafiic, <br /> construction, operation, other)? Indicate what hours noise would <br /> come from the site. <br /> There will be some noise associated with the <br /> construction phase of the project. Some heavy <br /> equtpment will be utilized to excavate the site <br /> for proposed improvements. The construction <br /> phase will last 3 to 4 months during daylight <br /> hours. At completion, the station will have <br /> Iimfted tratiic associated with it. It is <br /> anticfpated that DISTRICT personnei will visit <br /> the site once or twice a week. The electrical <br /> lines into and leading irom the switching station <br /> can emit a low hum or hiss during periods of <br /> precipitatfnn and h(gh humfdity. <br /> 3) Proposed measure to reduce or control noise impacts, if any: <br /> Construction wtll be restricted to daylight <br /> hours, and noise levels will be within City of <br /> Everett requirements. <br /> 8. Land and Shoreline Use <br /> a What is the current use of the site and adjacent properties? <br /> Tha site �as a Iandffll site for Weyerhaeuser <br /> until recently. It is part of Weyerhaeuser's <br /> Industrtal lands adJacent to the river, but not <br /> requiring rfver serv(ces. <br /> b. Has the site been used tor agriculture? If so, describe. <br /> No. This site has been a storage yard or <br /> indusirfal landfill for Weyerhaeuser tor decades. <br /> The soil unit indicates that tt was probably a <br /> filled area many years ago; ft is unlikely that it <br /> was ever used for agriculture. <br /> 12 <br />
