Basement Framing & Doors Disconnect the basement <br />stove and pipe and move, alang with Lhe hearth, to <br />storage in a location as directed by the owner. Cap off <br />remaining chimney openin9 making safe. <br />Remove existing wall framing and attached sheetrock <br />along the entire north wall in northeast corner of <br />basement. !_ :� remove the open framing next to the <br />laundry tray :r�d over to finisheu wall at stove. Frame <br />in new 2" :c 4" (16" centersl a.1d 2" �: 6" (pressure <br />treated 24" centers) walls and openings in basement as <br />indicated on the attached drawings. Note also a new <br />closet to be built into north bedroom alcove. <br />Exterioc doors. Remove the house front door and <br />reinatall at basement entrance opening from the <br />exterior. Inatall a new 6 panel white steel inaulated <br />door prehung at front comp�ete with weatherstripping, <br />threshold, and peep hole (located for owner's eye <br />2evel). rrim out door to match house and add a poliahed <br />bcass entry lock set and single cylinder deadbolt above <br />both keyed alike. Basement door to be weatherstripped <br />with existing locks placed in operating condition. Add <br />white aluR,inum screen doo�s (2) to house front and side <br />doors. <br />Interior doors in basement. Install a new 3' 0" hollow <br />core mahogany pocket door complete with hardwace at <br />/� laundry entrance. Install a 24" louvered (half) bifold <br />door in bathroom wall in front of furnace complete with <br />track and hardware. Pfll 6' 0" opening in new closet in <br />x�� nocth _ basement bedroom with bi-pass mahoqany doora <br />complete with hacdware. Trim out new door openings in <br />, salfogany. <br />More basement door work. Remove all existir,g basement <br />mahogany doors and have them as well as the other new <br />basement doors anii trim called out in this item <br />prefinished to a co?.or as selected by the owner. <br />Reinstall doors and finiah door jambs and trim to match. <br />All new work shall be performed in compliance with the <br />requirements of the Uniform Building Code, 1982 edition. <br />4. Plu� mbinq Main floor bathroom. install new white 5' <br />0 steel recessed bathtub with faucet, shower diverter <br />valve, arm and head complete at bathroom north wall. <br />install new white porcelain toilet. in place of existing <br />and reinstall existing in new basement bathroom. Keep <br />new toilet over toward bathtnb as much as possible <br />without making major plumbing changes to accommodate new <br />36" vanity cabinet (item 8). Install a 19" x 16" white <br />enameled oval steel sink with faucet and plumbing <br />complete to new vanity counter.
