Clyde Pitcher, Jr., of Clark �istributing Company, Inc., <br />2202 36th Street, has submitted a proposal to construct a new <br />addition to their warehouse. The plans include a 95-foot <br />driveway off hlcDougal nvenue. In accordance with the City <br />Code Chapter 13.36, Section 13.36.110, driveways �xceeding <br />35 feet require a variance approved by the City Council. <br />The variance is requested because of the security requirements <br />peculiar to this type of distributing plant, and under the <br />present usage, the street would not be impaired. A variance <br />is also required to eliminate the installation of curb and <br />gutter at the site.
