Above ground sprinkler piping must be hydrostatically tested as �stablished in NFPA <br />Standard 13. Underground pipiny must be hydrostatically tested and flushed as <br />established in NFPS Standard 24 for private fire mains. All such tests must be <br />witnessed by a Fire Department inspector. Call 259-8710 to make an appointment for <br />inspection. <br />Contractors' materials and test certificates must be submitted to the Everett Fire <br />Department prior to issuance of any Certificates of Occupancy. <br />Call 259-8720 for more information. <br />19. Fire Alarm System - An approved automatic fire detection system shall be provided as <br />required by City Ordinance #1902-92, E.M.C. Chapter 16.76. <br />Fire alarm systems shall be installed according to NFPA Standard 72 under permit of the <br />City of Everett Building Department. Electrical inspections and approval are required <br />prior to calling for acceptance tests. Call 259-8810 for permit information. <br />20. A portable fire extinguisher with a minimum UL rating of 2-A:10-B:C shall be provided <br />within 75 feet travel distance on each floor of all portions of each building du� ing <br />construction and prior to occupancy. <br />21. The premises must be clearly identified by address at the street entry. Buildings must be <br />clearly identified so as to be visible and legible from the access road. Each suite must <br />be clearly identified so as to be visible and legible from the access road. <br />22. When access to or within a structure or an area is unduly difficult bacause of secured <br />openings or where immediate access is necessary for life saving or fire-fighting <br />purposes, the Fire Department may recommend or require a key box to be installed in an <br />accessible location.
