Drivew� In addition, the driveway has been altered to exceed the allowable width and <br />does not meet City standards. <br />• Section 19.34.060 (I) of the Evtrett City code states that the width of driveways ior single- <br />family dwell:ngs shall not exceed twenty feet within the required front yard setback areas. <br />• Section 13.16.020 of the Everett City code provides that no person, finn or corporation shall <br />remove, alter or construct any curb, sidewalk, driveway aporoach, gutter, pavement or other <br />improvement in any public right-of-way without first obtaining a pertnit from the city <br />engineer, and no permit shall be granted until the applicant shall file with the city engineer <br />for his approval a copy of a drawing showing the location �id size of all such proposed <br />improvements to serve the property affected. <br />• Section 13.16.070 (C) of the Everett City code states that all driveway approaches <br />constructed pursuant to a permit, shall be constr�cted in accordance with the city <br />specifications and under the supervision of the city engineer and any portion or whole that <br />does not comply with the city specifications shall be removed and replacect when so directed <br />by the city engineer. <br />C. Fence. In addition, Sections 19.39.070 (A)(1) and 19.39.070 (C) of the Everett City code <br />regulates the height and placement of fences and provide that fences constructed on top of <br />approved retaining walls that are greater than six feet in height shall not exceed a maacimum <br />fence height of forty-two inches. The fences build on top of the retaining walis violate these <br />provisions. <br />D. Accessorv Buildine. In addition, Section ?9.07.020(C) of the Everett City code provides <br />that accessory buildings shall not be located in fr�,nt setback azeas. The accessory building in the <br />northwest comer of this property violates this provision. <br />II. Corrective Action Required <br />To eliminate these violations, you must obtain all applicable permits for the construction of tlie <br />retaining wall or. the north side of your property, for the retaining wall on the east side of your <br />property, for the retaining wall on the south side of the driveway, and for the driveway and <br />driveway approach. You must bring the fences constructed on the retaining walls intu <br />compliance with the code. And you must remove the accessory building from the front yard <br />setback. Information regazding permit upplication requirements, time frames and code <br />information may be obtained at 3200 Cedar Street, second floor, or by calling (425) 257-8810 <br />between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., Mondap through Friday. <br />Corrective Action must be fully completed on or before October 3, 1999. You may avoid the <br />hearing described in Section III if you full}• complete the correcti�•e action by lhe above date. <br />�3 <br />
