All sampling point(s) shall be identified on the SWPPP site map and be clearly
marked in the field with a flag, tape, stake or other visible marker.
4. Sampling and A•'alysis Methods
a. Turbidity analysis shall be performed with a calibrated turbidity meter
(turbidimeter), either on-site or at an accredited lab. The results shall be recorded
in the site log book in Nephelometric Turbidity Units (NTU).
b. Transparency analysis shall be performed on-site with a I'/. inch diameter, 60
centimeter (cm) long Transpazency Tube. The results shall be recorded in the site
log book in centimeters (cm). Transpazency Tubes are available from:
httn'//watermonitorineeauia com/oaees/stream.htrnl
Analytical Sampling Benchmark
Parameter Units Method Freyuency Value
Turbidity NTU SM2130 or Weekly, if 25 NTU
EPA180.1 discharging
Transparency cm Manufacturer Weekly, if 31 cm
instructions, or dischazging
Ecology
Guidance
5.
