PORT OF EVERETT <br />W MARINE VIEW DR <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br />9-14 EROSION CONTROL AND ROADSIDE PLANTING <br />Section 9-14.6(1) Plant Materials DescripGon is amended with the follow:ng: <br />Add the following before the first paragraph: <br />CIP N0. 3-0-003-09 <br />PROJECTNO. <br />PD•WM•20006-01 <br />Balled and Burlapped Stock: Exterior plants dug with firtn, natural balls of earth in which they a2 <br />grown, with ball size not less than diameter and depth recommended by ANSI Z60.1 for type and size <br />of tree or shrub 2quired; wrapped, tied, rigidly supported, and drum-laced as recommended by <br />ANSI Z60.1. <br />Container-Grown Stock: Healthy, vigorous, well-rooted exterior plants grown in a container with well- <br />established root system reaching sides of container and maintaining a firtn ball when removed from <br />container. Container shail be rigid enough to hold bali shape and protect root mau during shipping and <br />be sized accorcling to ANSI Z60.1 for kind, type, and size of exterior plant �equired. <br />Section 9-14.7 Stakes, Guys, and Wrapping is supplemented with the following� <br />Upright Staking and Tying: Stake trees of 2'/:" caliper. Use a minimum of 2 stakes of length tequired <br />to penetrate at least 18 inches below t�otlom of backfilled excavation and to extend at least 72 inches <br />above grade. Set vertical stakes and space to avoid penetrating root balls or root masses. Allow <br />enough slack in Ixking polyethylene tree ties to avoid rigid restraint of tree. . <br />Roadside Plantina Accessories (New Section) <br />Section 9•14.8 <br />Add the following: <br />=RooYbam"�T'PotypT�rylene._ chl�k cp1oL�4"_high x24:Yyide, 0.085-inch thickness. -- <br />Approved Ma�ufactu[e�.�eepRoot� <br />Weed-control barrier.
