' 15
9
L GENERAL
Ainar}, design study was compleud to determine the costs to inczease PumPB
capacities of Lift Station Nos. 7 and 8• The re°cu°d Provements include the
following:
A. Lift Station No. 7
1. Capaciry - Increase &om pumping capacity to 1.1 MGD.
2. Provide standby power.
3, provide option to incorporatc odor conol in funue.
B. LiftStationNo.8
1. Capacity - Increase from pumpin8 capacity to 4.6 MGD.
Z, provide forcemain capacity to uansfer flows to "D" uunk.
3. Provide standby power.
4. Address noise concerns.
5. Address odor concems. ,
(, Address aesthetic concems.
II. TASK 1: PRELIIIINARY PLAMVING
Reaoonsibilitin of E_ oineer
This task will provide the final planning for the upgrade of the lift stations and will
include the following:
1. Review system hydraulics and confirm alignment of forcemain co connect Lift
Station No. 8 with the "D" trunk• Tlus `Mll include obtaining confirmin8 inert
elevations and overflow elevations for interceptors connecring to the "D" trunk•
2, prepare flow schematic of system with maximum capacity of lines without
overflows. Evaluate altematives for modifying overflow elevations if required, to
ma•cimize transfer capaciry of system to the "D" trunk•
3, Complete geotechnical investigations required for strictural improvements at Liit
Starion No. 8.
4, prepaze first floor, intermediate level and lower level floor plans for Lift Station
Nos. 7 and 8.
5, Prepaze equipment list and cut sheeu for equipment including centrifugal pumps>
Sump pumps, valves, HVAC equipment, electrical panels and RTU's.
(, prepaze electrical one-line diagram and control strategy for both LiR Station Nos.
,79 7and8.
M ,997 A_l LiftStarionNos. 7& 8 Upgradu
