Tolerances — Statistical Acceptance. Tolerances — NonstaGstical Acceptance. After the JMF is determined, the <br />constituents of lhe mixture at the time of acceptance shall conform to the range of the <br />propoRion specified in the broad band specifications in for gradation and the design <br />mix asphalt binder content plus or minus 0.7 percent. <br />C. Adjustments <br />Aggregates. Upon written request from the Contractor, the Project Engineer may <br />approve field adjustments to the JMF including the Contractors proposed <br />combining ratios for mineral aggregate stockpiles and blend sand. The <br />maximum allowed gradalion change shall be 2 percent for the aggregate <br />retained on the No.10 sieve and above,l percent for the aggregate passing the <br />No.10 and No. 40 sieves, and 0.5 per�ent tor the aggregate passing the No. <br />200 sieve. Blend sand may be changed a maximum of 5 percent. The above <br />adjustments andlor any further adjustments as ordered by the Engineer will be <br />considered as a new JMF. Adjustments beyond these limits will require <br />development of a new JMF. The adjusted JMF p:us or minus the allowed <br />tolerances shall be within the range of the broad band specifications. <br />Page 17 of 50 <br />
