Box 538, Everett, Washington 98206, (hereinafter referred to as <br />Applicant) requested approval of a Shoreline Management Substantial Development <br />Permit (Shoreline Permit) for the development of a project along the City of Everett's <br />waterfront. The project is located on the west side of West Marine View Drive, north of <br />18th Street (southeast comer of marina). The project consists of approximately 5.5 acres <br />and will be a public/private proposal which will complete an access link between the north <br />and south sides of the Port of Everett Marina and construction of commercial development <br />framing the historic Chamber of Commerce building and the southeast comer of the marina <br />The proposed project will include: <br />Existing south marina edge improvements, including the <br />pedestrian walkway, railing, landscaping, overlooks and <br />street furniture, will be extended to complete the south <br />and east edges of the marina. At the southeast comer of <br />the marina, the walkway will span across the comer of <br />the marina and will include a "sea fountain" or other <br />visual element. The overlooks will be similar to the <br />moorage access points that extend out over the <br />bulkhead on the south edge of the marina. <br />A new pier, intended to serve the gillnet fishermen, is <br />proposed to be located at the southeast comer of the <br />marina. The pier will facilitate net handling between <br />vehicles and the existing net repair float or a fishing <br />boat. <br />A new transient moorage float is proposed along the <br />eastern edge of the marina for use by fishermen, <br />recreational boaters, charter operators, or others as <br />appropriate. <br />
