0 <br />� <br />'2' <br />PROJECT SCOPE <br />The purpose of this study was to provide geotechnical design recamnendations <br />far site preparation and faundation support of the proposed substation <br />equipment as outlined in our contract with the Snohomish County Public <br />Utilities District No, i- Professional Services Contract No. 1869, <br />"Geotechnical Engineerinq Services for 52nd Street, Norton and Silver Lake <br />Substatians". Specifically our scope of work included: <br />1. Supervisicn, observation, and logging of two 52-foot deep borings, and <br />abtaining representative soil samples. ' <br />:� _ • <br />2. Engineering analyses to evaluate'suitable foundation alternatives, � <br />anticipated foundation settlement, and geotechnical design parameters. <br />3. Preparation of this written report summarizing field results and <br />recommendations regarding: <br />. suitable foundation types, <br />. allawable vertical and lateral bearing pressures, <br />. estimated foundation settlements, <br />. foundation subgrade preparation, •, . <br />. suitability of on site soils for use as fill or foundation <br />backfill, <br />. backfill compaction requirements and earthwork construction <br />consideration, <br />. stripping depths and removal of other unsuitable materials if ' <br />needed, <br />. site grading and drainage recommendations. <br />co�,v«m c�n�m r+w <br />
