Planning Commission ��tinutes <br />August 11, 1981 <br />Page -3- <br />Mr. Switchenback stated that Condition 8 requiring complete shielding of the <br />welding operation was difficult, and following discussion it was agreed that the <br />Condition would read, "Welding operations shall be shielded to reduce off-site <br />annoyance to the extent practicable." <br />Mr. Switchenback stated that conditions 18 and 19 might present a financial burden <br />to the applicant, and after extensive discussion, Pat McClain of the Mayor's office <br />presented a reworded cnndition 18 (encompassing both) which stated: "Anticipated <br />traffic impacts will be resolved and subsequent needed control improvements <br />provided by Parsons and/or the Port of Everett to the satisfaction of the City <br />Traffic Engineer:' <br />Mr. Switchenback stated that regarding Condition 21, the operation would be <br />winter and spring, so the Condition will now read, "That peak employment shall <br />occur normally during winter arid spring months..." ' <br />Mr. Belford asked that Condition 22 be deleted, and after discussion it was agreed <br />that it be reworded to: "That the 4.5 acre parkir; lot at the east end of the Marina <br />shall be covered with crushed rock prior to use as Parsons Employee parking and <br />sprinkled to control dust when necessary." <br />CITIZEN COMMENT <br />�Ar. Sandy Stuchel, 1725 �rand <br />�Ir. Stuchel believes the bike path should be built now, that the noise regulations <br />should be enforced on the boundaries, and that the !ighting should not annoy those <br />nearby. <br />MOTION: <br />John Friel moved to ao�ept the proposal with the reccmmendations as edited.
