These cc�mments <br />address buiiding issues only, additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments <br />(such as Utilities, Plannin� or Fire). All references refer to the 1997 Uniform Building Cale, as <br />amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Caie 1997 Edition, unless stated <br />otherwise. <br />In order for the processin� of your application to contin�e, it will be necessary to <br />provide the Buildmg Divis�on w�th two complete new sets of drawings retlecting the <br />corrections requested. <br />1. The mezzanir.e tloor joists should be shown insulated to a minimum of R-21. Section 1131, Ch <br />51-11 WAC <br />2. The new walls should be shown insulated to a minimum of R-11. Section 1131, Ch 51-11 <br />WAC <br />3. A vapor barrier should be sl�own on the warm side of the insulation. Section 1313.1, Ch 51-1i <br />WAC <br />4. The handrail on the stairs should be shown to be between 34"-38" above the tread nosings. <br />Section 10033.3.6 <br />5. Tl�e stairs sltould be shown to have an 8-inch maximum rise, and a 9-inch minimum run. <br />Section 1003.3.3.3 <br />6. The connections of the rim joist ro top plares and subtloor should be shown to resist the torsion <br />caused by the moment of the guardrail columns. <br />7.
