They had selected D�ve Mitchell. <br />htoved by Cour�cilr�an Stephanson, seconded by Councilman Pope to <br />concur in the appointment of Dave Mitchell as the second judge for <br />the Municipal Court. <br />Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Counci�man Stephanson <br />president during a <br />President Gipson for <br />nomination. <br />Motion carcied. <br />complimented president Gipson for his year as <br />very difficult period. Ne then nominated <br />a second term. Councilman Niva seconded the <br />P.�11 r+as called with all counciimen votin9 yes. <br />Motion carcied. <br />Councilman Stephanson commented on the celebration on the watecf[ont <br />of the 70th Anniversary of the Macsacre. He said it was a vecy <br />moving experience. <br />He then said he had spoken at Cascade Hi9h School on Veteran's Day <br />and was pleased at how well-behaved the students were and that they <br />appceciated the meaning of Vetecan's Day. <br />Councilman Pope said the Engineerin9 Consulting Committee had <br />interviewed firms foc the redesi9n o� the Alverson Bridge. They <br />wece all very knowledgeable but the committee selected Sverdrup <br />Corporation of Bellevue. <br />Moved by Councilman Pope, seconded by Councilman Stephanson to <br />authocize the Mayor to negotiate a contcact ��ith Sverdrup <br />Cocporation for the redesign of the Alverson Bridge. <br />Roll was called wlth all councilmen votin9 yes. <br />Motion cacried. <br />�Pr�sident Gipson said Item No. 4 would be removed f[ort� the agenda as <br />the owner is yoing to demolish the house at 3013 W. Macine View Dc. <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />Mark Houser said he had reviewed the PSCOG repoet and felt they had <br />thei: population figures wrong. He said also the Navy had not <br />applied foc a substantial development permit yet and they could be <br />sued. He said the report also showed the navy disposal site <br />overlaps the Puget Sound Open Water Disposal Site. <br />
