IPMC 404.4.4. Prohibited occupancy. Kitchens and nonhabitable spaces <br /> shall not be used for sleeping purposes. <br /> IMPC <br /> 404.4.5 Other Requirements, Bedrooms shall comply with the <br /> applicable provisions of this code including, but not limited to, the light, <br /> ventilation, room area, ceiling height and room width requirements of this <br /> chapter,' the plumbing facilities and water heating facilities of Chapter 5; the <br /> heating facilities and electrical receptacle requirements of Chapter 6; and the <br /> smoke detector and emergency escape requirements of Chapter 7. <br /> IPMC 108.1.4 Unlawful Structure, An unlawful structure is one found in <br /> whole or in part to be occupied by more persons than permitted under this <br /> code, or was erected, altered or occupied contrary to law. <br /> IPMC 106.1 Unlawful acts. <br /> It shall be unlawful for a person, firm or corporation to be in conflict with or in <br /> violation of any of the provisions of this code, <br /> 5. Corrective Action, Deadline <br /> If the respondent completes the following corrective actions by the date listed <br /> below, and is not a repeat violator, the respondent may enter into an agreed <br /> order as described in Section 7 below. <br /> a) The basement must be vacated immediately and may not be used for <br /> sleeping purposes unless approved by the City of Everett Building <br /> Department. <br /> This corrective action must be completed by March 1, 2015 <br /> b) Return the occupancy and use of the residence to that of a single family. <br /> Contact the City of Everett Planning Department to obtain information <br /> regarding permitted and prohibited uses and to ensure compliance with all <br /> City Code requirements. <br /> c) The Respondent shall contact the City of Everett Planning Department and <br /> Building Division located at 3200 Cedar Street and apply for and obtain all of <br /> the necessary and required permits to bring the structures into compliance <br /> with the Everett Municipal Code.
