The Planning Director, <br /> using Review Process II.B, is authorized to ". . .a�prove, <br /> disapprove, or approve with conditions the use proposed by the <br /> applicant." (Subsection 41.100.8) If no appeal is filed in <br /> response to the Planninq Director's determination, the decision <br /> will be considered final. IE an appeal of the decision is filed, <br /> such an appeal must be submitted to the city's Hearing examiner. <br /> As a property owner within �00 feet of the subject properiy, this <br /> notice is to inform you that the Planning Director has issued a <br /> determination on proposed action as described below. <br /> BACKGROUND: In the past you were notified that Doris Torset, the <br /> property owner at 7705 Rainier Drive, made application F.o the <br /> City and was granted Planning Director's approval to allow for an <br /> accessory dwelling unit at the above address. The oriqinal <br /> approval was to allow for the construction of a 676 square foot <br /> addition to the existing 1,827 square foot sinqle family <br /> residence located on the subject property. The 676 foot addition <br /> was to be use9 as an accessory dwelling unit. The total buildinq <br /> area after the addition would be 2,503 square feet, of which a <br /> maximum of 758 may be Lsed for an accessory dwelling unit. The <br /> property is zoned R-1, Single Family Residential. Accessory <br /> dwellinq units are permitted subject to approval by the Plenning <br /> Director usinq Review Process II.B. <br /> The applicant has su6mitted a modified ZI.B application to allow <br /> for a 962 square foot addition to the existing 1,827 square foot <br /> sinqle family residence located on the subject property. The 962 <br /> Poot addition is to be used as an accessory dwelling unit. The <br /> total building area after the addition would be 2,789 square <br /> feet, of which a maximum of ]5$ may be used for an accessory <br /> dwelling unit. This nev proposal would still fall within the <br /> allowable area that can be used for accessory dwelling pur�oses. <br /> -1- <br />
