3 <br /> The terms of the members shall be as set by ordinance, for a maximum of six years. No <br /> person serving continuously on a board for a period in excess of six (6)years shall be <br /> eligible to reappointment to such board until he has been off such board for at least one <br /> (1)year. No elected official of the city or appointed city officer and except for a city <br /> employee elected as a neighborhood representative to the Council of Neighborhoods, no <br /> employee or employee of the city shall be eligible for appointment to such board. <br /> PROPOSITION #7 <br /> Shall Everett City Charter Section 5.2 relating to advisory boards be changed to allow <br /> employees of the City of Everett who are Everett residents to serve on advisory boards? <br /> CHARTER CHANGE YES El <br /> CHARTER CHANGE NO O <br /> Section 10: Delete Section 5.5 Section 5.5 of the Everett City Charter, <br /> which reads as follows: <br /> Board of Adjustment. <br /> The city council may provide by ordinance for a Board of Adjustment which may be <br /> given authority to hear and determine appeals from the ruling of the building inspector on <br /> the provisions of the zoning ordinance, and to grant special exceptions to, or variations <br /> from, the zoning regulations in accordance with standards and procedures prescribed by <br /> ordinance, and with such further jurisdiction and power as may be prescribed by <br /> ordinance. Section 8.2 of the Everett City Charter, <br /> which reads as follows: <br /> Removal—Vacancy— How Filled—Quorum. <br /> Any member of such commission may be removed from office for incompetency, <br /> incompatibility or dereliction of duty, or malfeasance in office, or other good cause; <br /> provided, however, that no member of the commission shall be removed until charges <br /> have been preferred, in writing, due notice and full hearing had. The members of such <br /> commission shall devote due time and attention to the performance of the duties <br /> hereinafter specified and imposed upon them by this charter. Two members of such <br /> commission shall constitute a quorum, and votes of any two (2) members of such 1 5 <br /> 8 <br />
