M, Jasper, 2030 Rockefeller, rv�rett, <br /> l'iashington, for a variance from Chapter 19. 1G L'verett Arunicipal Code (Yard <br /> Requirements) for permission to Uuild a carport to �vithin one (1) foot of the side <br /> property line rather than the required five (5) feet. <br /> Legal Description: Logs 17 and 18, Block 423 Plat of �verett, <br /> Division "B" - 2030 Rockefeller <br /> Zoning: R-2, Single-Pamily Iiigli-Density Residence <br /> After visually viewing the subject property and considering all the facts , it was moved <br /> by A4r. Berg, seconded by �4r, Graff and unar.imously carried to grant the apnlicant's <br /> request for the follo�ving reasons: <br /> 1. The:e are exceptional circumstances applying to the subject prcperty that <br /> do not apply to other properties in the same vicinit}�; specifically, the <br /> original garage that was built at the same time the residencc was con- <br /> structed is too small for today's standard size automoUile. <br /> � 2. Granting the variance will not be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious <br /> to other properties in the vicinity. <br /> 3. The variance is necessary for the pr�servation and enjoyment of a substantial <br /> property right; specifically, there are other garages in the vicinity thai are <br /> closer to the property line than the current ordinance allo�vs. <br /> 4.
