Un August 8, 1988, Ben Edwards authorized the water service to be restored to the buildings for construction only . Apparently there was a building permit and electrical permit issued for repair of the buildings . On Sept. 21 , 1988, I sent a memo to Tim Tyler statinq that the Supplemental Notice and Order had not been co;nplied with and rPcommended that we proceed with abatement. Jar. . 11 , 1989, a letter was sent to Mr . McKee, singed by Tim Tyler and Dennis Derickson, advising Mr. McKee that he was past due with the required reports pursuant to the June 21 , 1988 Supplemental Notice and Urder. He was given until May 1 , 1989 to submit a written report. Failure to submit the report would result in continued abatement of the buildings . May 2, 1989, another complaint was received regarding "bad looking structures and transients using them . " I advised the complainant of current action being taken. i June 6, 1989, I received copies of a letter Mr. �cKee sent to Tim Tyler. Mr. McKee was requeating more time for working on the buildings . As you can see, the City of Everett Staff has delayed abatement action time and time again to allow Mr. McKee all the time necessary to perform the work necessary to make these buildings habltable.
