I inspected the properly on 3.31-2009 and found numerous code violations. These issues need to be addressed for me to certify the wiring. Some wallboard will have to be removed when a final certification inspection is done. Here is my list of corrections visible at this time. 1) New sub panel in the basement needs a new feeder wire. (3 conductors with ground). As we discussed this panel may be eliminated and the circuits fed from existing panels in the basement. 2) In the existing panels, romex installed needs to have connectors. Unused breaker slots need blank covers. 3) Sub panel adjacent to main panel in basement needs ground wire and ground bus installed. All ground wires in this panel must be attached to this new bus 4) Breakers property sized for the wire must be installed. 5) Holes for wiring through framing members must be drilled in the middle of the studs and wire on parallel runs stapled every 4.5 ft 6) Hot water heaters need #10 awg installed (this would correct the over sized breakers on these circuits). 7) The junction box to the right of the sub panel needs to be removed or covered. 8) Bare bulb light fixture in closet needs to be removed. 9) All junctions (splices) and devices must be enclosed in j-boxes. When your perils are in place and the corrections are completed, call me for a final certification of the wiring. If you decide you want us to do the wiling we will gel the electrical permit.
