The inspection found the building undergoing a remodel without required construction pcnnits. A Stop Work order was then issued for the project. The list below denotes significant issues that were found to be out of compliance within the building based on a non-destructive investigation. It is important to note however that not all of the possible deficiencies in the building were or could have been found based on this limited inspection. For a comprehensive investigation, owners are encouraged to secure the services of a licensed design professionals and contractors. As this is not a complete list, additional issues may therefore arise during subsequent plan review and inspection. Code references include the 2006 Everett Building code (EBC), 2006 Everett Residential Code (ERC), 2006 Everett Fire Code (EFC), 1997 Everett housing (EIJQ, 2006 Everett Phoning Code (EPC), 2006 Everett Mechanical Code (EMC) and 2005 Everett Electrical Code (EEC). FINDINGS 1) The building has been converted from a single family residence into a duplex with the addition of sleeping rooms, a kitchen and a bathroom in the previously unfinished basement. Construction pcnnits were not obtained for this conversion to include: i) Additional sleeping rooms have been added to the main floor. ii) The electrical system in the building has been altered. iii) Plumbing has been installed in the building.
