Thc proposal includes the fol- lowing: 1) removal of existing buildings and debris, 2) filling ap- proximately seventy-five percent (.G acres) of two existing ponds that were constructed to be used as a samp f.or a rendering plant that was previously on the site, 7) regrading the entire site and replanting areas not asphalted, 4) asphalt?ng approximately 8o percent of the site to be used for �hip loading ond storage, 5) imForting up to 9,000 cubic yards of dredg= spoils to flood proof the site, 6) lnstallation of a conveyor and rotating telescoping loading spout mounted about 58 Eeet above grade �o transfer tlie chips Eor a distance of about 130 feet over the water to barges, 7) bank stabilization along tl.e shore- line and enhancement of natural vegetation to provide hahitat for wildlife, and e) conctruction of an approximately 50o square foot of- fice building.
