The location of Fire Department connections (FDC) and post indicator valves (PIV) shall be <br /> determined by the Fire Code Official. If immediate outside man door access is available to the sprinkler <br /> valves (risers), a PIV will not be required. The FDC shall be remote by the street hydrant. <br /> 16.
