contact with groundwater during times of high groundwater elevation. Groundwater flow direction is
toward the north-northwest at a gradient of approximately 0.04 to 0.07 ft per foot.
A summary of the groundwater analytical data compared to the MTCA Method A screening levels is
presented in Table 2. No concentrations exceeding MTCA Method A screening levels have ever been
detected in wells MW-2 through MW-6. During the 2011 sampling events, TPHo exceeding MTCA
Method A screening levels was detected in groundwater from monitoring well MW-l. Monitoring
wells MW-7 and MW-8 were installed on October 3, 2011 downgradient of monitoring well MW-1 to
define the lateral extent of TPHo in groundwater. No concentrations were detected above MTCA
Method A screening levels in monitoring wells MW-7 or MW-8. TPHo impacted groundwater is
limited to a small area surrounding monitoring well MW-1.
TPH in the diesel range (TPHd) exceeding MTCA Method A screening levels was detected in
groundwater from monitoring well MW-1; however, these detections were flagged by the laboratory as
"most closely resembling a motor oil/transformer oil product." Based on historical records, diesel has
not been stored at the Site. Therefore, the TPHd detections are a result of the lighter end hydrocarbon
range of oil, which are part of the hydrocarbon range covered by TPHo.
017386-174(123) 3 THIS DOCUMENT IS PRINTED ON RECYCLED PAPER
Encore Environmental Consortium,LLC
