Implemented in September 1999, the Agreement established the "Puget Pass" program as the <br /> region's initial effort to provide a seamless fare media among and between the public transit providers in the <br /> Sound Transit service area. The current agreement, extended via Amendment Three, expires December 31, <br /> 2006. The attached amendment Number Five introduces language to acknowledge the change in issuance <br /> and acceptance policies for cash transfers as a result of the Everett Transit fare changes effective September <br /> 1, 2006, and updates the Washington State Ferries Mukilteo "Ship-To-Shore" pass face value in accord with <br /> the Everett Transit fare changes effective September 1, 2006. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Mayor to sign the Regional Pass and Fare Reconciliation <br /> Agreement Amendment Number Five. <br /> 17 <br />
