6 <br /> AMENDMENT NUMBER FIVE <br /> REGIONAL PASS AND FARE PROGRAM RECONCILILATION <br /> PROGRAM AGREEMENT <br /> Effective September 1, 2006 <br /> In consideration of the mutual promises herein contained, Sound Transit, Everett Transit, <br /> King County Metro, Pierce Transit and Community Transit agree to amend the Interim <br /> Regional Pass and Fare Program Reconciliation Program Agreement entered into <br /> between the parties as of January 1, 2002 as set forth below. <br /> 1. Exhibit B-2 is hereby replaced with the attached "Exhibit B-3"to: <br /> Update the Mukilteo Ship-to-Shore pass with a 75-cent face value to a 50-cent <br /> value in accord with ET's September 1, 2006 fare change. <br /> 2. Section 18 e is hereby replaced in its entirety with the language as follows: <br /> e) Cash Transfers. If a Party issues and accepts cash transfers on its service, then <br /> that Party shall accept valid cash transfers from any other Party at the accepting Party's <br /> base fare on its fixed route bus, trolley, streetcar and/or commuter rail services. If a Party <br /> does not issue and accept cash transfers on its service, then that Party need not accept <br /> cash transfers from any other Party. Cash transfers are valid when used on the same day <br /> of issue and prior to the transfer's time of expiration. The definition of a base fare is as <br /> follows: <br /> Community Transit—local fare <br /> Everett Transit—local fare <br /> King County Metro— 1-zone fare <br /> Pierce Transit—local fare <br /> Sound Transit— 1-zone Regional Express bus fare <br /> When a customer with a valid cash transfer boards fixed route bus, trolley, <br /> streetcar and/or commuter rail service requiring a base fare operated by a Party, the <br /> customer shall owe no additional fare. When a customer with a valid cash transfer boards <br /> fixed route bus, trolley, streetcar and/or commuter rail service requiring a fare greater <br /> than a base fare, the customer shall pay a transfer upgrade equal to the difference between <br /> the fare for that service and the accepting Party's base fare. <br /> Except as expressly provided in this Amendment, all terms and conditions of the original <br /> Agreement remain in full force and effect. <br /> 18 <br /> Regional Pass and Fare Reconciliation Program Agreement 1 of 4 <br /> Amendment#5 Effective September 1,2006 <br />
