"EXHIBIT A" 4 Task 50201 —Site Reconnaissance and Data Collection URS staff Sri Rajah and Xiangdong Han will conduct a reconnaissance visit to the site,meet City representative Mr. Nasr and request and collect any more data that is required to complete the pre-design analysis. The additional data needs are: • As-built layouts of the pipe • Specifications of the sewer pipe including dimensions of pipe cross-section. • Proposed alignment of the railroad. Task 50202—Crossing Pre-Design URS will evaluate the feasibility of different crossing design approaches to safely resist the anticipated earth and live rail loading at the proposed crossing location. Conceptual level design of the crossings for options 1 and 2 will be developed based on the crossing, geotechnical, and pipeline data meeting the rail road design guidelines, AREMA Manual, and applicable federal and state design codes. This task will include: • Review geotechnical data available in the vicinity • Develop design parameters for evaluation of the sewer pipeline • Review as-built data and specifications of the 36-inch CCP sewer. • Establish the internal and external (earth and live) loading on the pipeline • Develop conceptual design of bridge crossing design(Option 1) • Develop conceptual design of case crossing design(Option 2) • Evaluate the feasibility of the different crossing options Task 50203—Cost Estimate URS will prepare a planning level cost estimate for crossing design options I and 2. Task 50204—Review Meeting URS staff, Sri Rajah and Xiangdong Han will attend one meting with City staff at about 70 percent completion of Task 50203. The purpose of the meeting will be to present the findings of Tasks 50202 and 50203 and to finalize the preferred option for design and costing_ Task 50205—Report URS will summarize the findings of pre-design evaluation consisting of feasibility evaluation and planning level cost estimates in a pre-design report. A draft pre-design report will be submitted to City and final report will incorporate review comments from City. Task 50206—Undefined Work As it is difficult to accurately anticipate all the issues that may arise during the pre-design work, this task establishes a contingency fiend for unidentified and unanticipated work. This task is specifically designed to allow payment to URS under this contract for changes in the scope of work which the City determines to be necessary.
