•
Tony Lee
From: Rick Robinson
Sent: Tuesday, May 05, 2009 6:30 AM
To: 'Jeff Oaklief
Cc: Tony Lee
Subject: RE: Hoyt-Cal Apts (Library Place)
The drawings that Klaus used to make his fire flow calcs are dated 12/20/2006 and include "Construction Type V-A" in the
project data. He also includes his calcs for fire flow as being 3000 gpm. The description of buildings 3 and 4 in the
planning doc show VA construction. For flow purposes, the increase between V-A and V-B would be 150gpm, so I doubt
flow was an issue. VA was the planning parameter for those two buildings.
If the "buildings" are all separated, we can consider each for fire flow to be independent, and Building 2 has the 3000gpm
fire flow requirement. That would mean that type of construction for 3 and 4 would be whatever IBC says it can be. RR
Rick Robinson
Asst.
