Both developments have required a <br /> significant level of intergovernmental coordination which includes Washington State <br /> Department of Transportation, Port of Everett, the Tulalip Tribes, Snohomish County <br /> and the United States Government. They will also witness state of the art technology <br /> such as Naval Station Everett, the 2nd largest employer in Snohomish County, Everett <br /> Station which houses WorkSource, WorkForce, The University Consortium, Amtrak, <br /> Greyhound, Northwest Trailways, QuickShuttle, Sound Transit and Community Transit. <br /> Through funding this important event in the amount of approximately $12,000.00 we <br /> can insure citizens of Everett the most advanced approach available through the <br /> collaborative effort of mayors and council members from all over the United States. <br /> The funds for this event will be raised through community contribution, both monetarily <br /> or in kind. No funds will be incurred of the city of Everett until every effort has been <br /> made to raise these funds has been exhausted. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt Resolution No. <br /> supporting effort to host the National League of Cities Finance, Administration and <br /> Intergovernmental Relations Steering Committee Fall 2007 Conference <br />
