Expenditure Required $ -0- Account Number(s): Amount Budgeted $ -0- Additional Required $ -0- DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: Everett Municipal Code Chapter 16.03 is a revised version of the 1997 Uniform Fire Code, adopted by the City of Everett in 1999 (Ord.No. 2360-99). Since that time,the State of Washington adopted the 2003 International Fire Code("IFC"), with amendments reflected in the Washington Administrative Code. The IFC is one of six international codes which together constitute the State Building Code, applicable to cities. This proposed ordinance would adopt the IFC and provide for revisions as allowed by State law. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt an Ordinance providing for the adoption of the 2003 edition of the International Fire Code, as amended by the Washington State Building Code Council in Chapter 51-54 of the Washington Administrative Code and repealing Ordinance No. 2360- 99, Sections 1 through 12. 8
