5. If whole house fan is used specify required CFM per table M1507.3.3 (1) for continuous <br /> operation, (can be run intermittently if sized per table M1507.3.3 (2).) show fan size and <br /> location on plans. Designate as whole house fan. Mechanical ventilation system fans <br /> shall meet the efficacy requirements of Table R403.5.1 WSEC. <br /> 6. Center line of water closet shall be not less than 15"from adjacent walls / partitions and <br /> from a tub. (R307 IRC) <br /> 7. Specify minimum requirements for local exhaust in each kitchen, bathroom & laundry <br /> room. Local exhaust systems shall be designed to have the capacity to exhaust the <br /> minimum air flow rate determined in accordance with table M1507.4 IRC. <br /> 8. Specify headers required to be insulated with a minimum of R-10 insulation. Show on <br /> plans. <br /> 9. Exterior R-10 rigid insulation shall project to the top of the concrete stem wall when <br /> installed on the exterior foundation. <br /> 10. 10. Smoke alarms shall be hard wired and interconnected with battery back- up/ R314 <br /> IRC. Alarms shall be installed in each sleeping room and in the corridor or area giving <br /> access to each separate sleeping area. <br /> 11. Corridors are required to be minimum 36" clear width (the dimensions on the plans are <br /> typically to the face of framing). <br /> 12. Note on plans that the opening from the sleeping area into the closet area is required to <br /> be open for access to the egress window. <br /> 13. The one-hour fire- resistive assembly requires 5/8"type 'x' GWB on the interior, <br /> including the bathroom at the shower stall. The width of the bathroom may need to be <br /> adjusted for the extra thickness of GWB. <br /> 14. Detail F/A5 on sheet A-4 (lower detail F/AF) shows what appears to be rigid insulation <br /> over an existing roof structure, please clarify where (if) this detail occurs on the <br /> structure. <br /> 15.The "residential design loads" shown on sheet A-4 are not correct (gravity- residence). <br /> Please correct. <br /> 16.The foundation detail #1 on sheet A-2 shows a footing and stem wall at the point where <br /> the addition abuts the existing structure, the foundation plan does not.
