All optional garments must be paid for by the employee. A credit amount up to fifty dollars <br /> ($50.00) may be carried over into the following calendar year. <br /> New employees are not eligible for the full uniform credit during the calendar year in which they <br /> are hired. For the next calendar year, the uniform credit amount shall be pro-rated based upon <br /> the number of full months the employee was employed as an Operator or Bus Maintenance <br /> Person during the previous calendar year. No uniform credit may be used during the time an <br /> employee is on probation. <br /> Section 4: <br /> Type and color of uniforms will be determined by the City with merit given for the majority vote <br /> by the Union membership. <br /> Section 5: <br /> Employees may wear the authorized standard Union emblem bearing the logo of Amalgamated <br /> Transit Union on their uniform lapel. <br /> Section 6: <br /> Effective January 1, 2008, all employees, while on the job, shall only wear shoes that meet the <br /> City's uniform policy criteria. <br /> Bus Maintenance Persons: <br /> The City shall reimburse employees up to two hundred dollars ($200.00) per calendar year <br /> toward the purchase or repair of shoes that meet the uniform policy criteria. In order to receive <br /> reimbursement, the employee must submit a paid receipt to the City on or before December <br /> 31st in the year in which the shoes were purchased or repaired. No dollar amount may be <br /> carried forward into future years. <br /> 31 <br />
