Is this
acceptable?
It appears that ttere is a natural drainage way runninq
along the east side of the parking lot expansion area that
ends np discharging to the existing detention pond located
to the north. In addition to grading for the parking lot
and construction of a storm line to the pond, Boeing is
proposinq a culvert to pick up drainage in this area (see
sheets C152 and C292) . Before the plans are approved, the
✓ area should be checked to determine that the natural
drainage does not meet the definition of a stream and/or
that wetland areas do not exist alonq the natural drainage
route. if a stream or wetland does exist in this area, the
topography indicates that proposed grading for a portion of
the parkinq lot expansion would probably occur within the
buffer. . . In addition, clearinq for and construction of the
storm line to the existinq pond would be within the buffer
area if the drainage way to the pond is categorized as a
stream or wetland.
other comments are:
jA revegetation plan is required to be approved by Planni+g
for those areas where disturbance of the wildlife corridor
' will occur.
The EIS document states that vegetated swales must be
provided to treat stormwater runoff from all. areas except
for those draining to the peat filter system. The majority
of the north parking lot expansion area naturally discharges
to an existing detention pond located to the north. A
vegetated swale designed per City standards must be provided
- to treat this runoff before it leaves the site or discharges
to a wetland or stream.
