February 5, 1992 <br />:ralamilm-46u,�� <br />SUBJECT: Boeing Aircraft Company <br />UBC Sections 506(b) 6 1716 <br />Major Fssembly Buildings <br />Four levels, in addition to the ground level, are allowed when situated within <br />the 50' wide "tower" sections of the building. It shall also be acceptable <br />for these levels to be occupied for office use. <br />Findings: <br />* The building is limited to two floors by Section 506(b). If one level is <br />taken to be the second floor, Section 1716 allows for two additional <br />mezzanine levels. A third level of mezzanine, although disallowed by <br />Section 1716, would still not bring the total area of mezzanines to th <br />building floor area divided by three (the prescribed maximum area per <br />Section 1716). <br />* All levels will have two enclosed stairway shafts of two hour fire <br />resistive construction which lead directly through an exit passageway.
