Assumptions: <br /> • One design criteria workshop with City staff will be attended by up to four MSA team <br /> members. <br /> • Up to two alternatives evaluation workshops with City staff will be attended by up to four <br /> MSA team members. <br /> Task 205 - Preliminary Design <br /> This task will include coordination with City staff on key design elements, design criteria, and <br /> development of preliminary plans to the approximately 30 percent design completion level as <br /> described below. <br /> 205.1 Preliminary 30%Plans - Based on the final conceptual layout plan,prepare preliminary <br /> plans at the 30% design completion level of the proposed improvements for the site, <br /> reservoir, and valve facility. Preliminary plans will be developed at a 1"=20' scale. The <br /> 30%plans are anticipated to include key plan sheets necessary to convey design aspects of <br /> major project components. A preliminary list of anticipated plan sheets to be included at the <br /> 30% submittal is listed below. <br /> • Cover Sheet <br /> • Symbols and Abbreviations <br /> • Site Layout Plan and Survey Control <br /> • Grading and Drainage Plan <br /> • Site Utility Plan <br /> • Transmission Main Plan and Profile <br /> • Reservoir Plan <br /> • Reservoir Section <br /> • Reservoir 2 Demolition Plan <br /> • Reservoir 2 Demolition Section <br /> • Valve Facility Plan <br /> • Valve Facility Section <br /> • Electrical One-Line Diagram <br /> • Electrical Site Plan <br /> • Valve Facility Electrical Plan <br /> 205.2 Cost Estimates and Schedule—Prepare preliminary construction cost estimates for the <br /> proposed reservoir,valve house and related site improvements and include the estimated <br /> construction schedule within the overall project schedule. <br /> 205.3 City Review Meetings—Meet with the City throughout preliminary design to review and <br /> discuss project elements, as needed. Submit 30%preliminary plans to the City for review <br /> and comment. Meet with City to discuss review comments and proposed modifications to <br /> 30%preliminary plans.
