The Contractor's operations shall be <br /> 19 conducted so vehicles and equipment do not operate, haul, park, or perform other <br /> 20 activity within the drip line of vegetation designated to be saved. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 The Contractor shall selectively clear, grub, and prune to create planting pockets <br /> 23 within existing vegetalion in lhe locations shown in the Plans or as directed by the <br /> ` 24 Engineer. This work includes selective removal of lhe following unwanted <br /> 25 vegetation: <br /> 26 <br /> ; 27 1. Overhanging shrub branches within an approved planting location <br /> ( 28 2. Blackberry <br /> 29 3. Scotch Broom <br /> 30 4. Noxious Weeds <br /> 31 5. Other undesirable vegelation as determined by the Engineer. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 The Contractor shall exercise care to not damage existing desirable vegetation. <br /> � 34 Work shall only commence when each day's activity has been reviewed and <br /> � 35 approved on site by the Engineer. <br /> 36 <br /> ! 37 Description <br /> ' 38 Section 2-01.3 of the Standard Specifications .� suppiemented with the following: <br /> 39 <br /> � 40 Existing riprap rock located on the beach within the area on Drawing B-1 noted <br /> ; 41 as "Approximate extent of existing riprap" shall be removed from the beach down <br /> 42 to one foot below the elevation oi the beach surface existing at the start of riprap <br /> i 43 removal.
