EVERETT SHORELINE MASTER PROGRAM <br />4.11 Municipal — Water Quality <br />Purpose <br />'I'o provide for the continued operation, maintenance, and expansion of the City's Water <br />Pollution Control facility as necessary to protect th� public health, safety and welfaze, <br />while encouraging public access and wetland restoratien acuons that will not conflict <br />with ihe facility. <br />C:lassification Criteria <br />Areas currendy owned by the City of Everett containing the City's Water Pollution <br />Con�rol Facili[y. <br />Area Designated (See e gure 4.21) <br />Portion of Smith Island within the City limits located east of the east rigtit-of-way line of <br />[-5 . The watenvard boundary is the ordinary high water mark. <br />Vision Statement <br />The City's Water Pollution Control Facility will continue to operate and <br />expand in this area. Activities associated wi[h the operation and <br />maintenance of the facilities will be permitted. Public access and <br />environmental restoration will be encouraged to the extent they do not <br />conflict with the operation and expansion of [he sewage treatment facilitizs. <br />Management Policies <br />Provide sewage treatment faciliaes if environmental impacts can be mi[igated. <br />2.
