Some time in the later part of 1984 it was requested by Jim Iles that
we inspect the basement area to determine if the living unit was
occupied or empty.
Upon inspection it was determined that the unit was not being utilized
for living purposes as the kitchen area had been dismantled. The prior
occupant had moved upstairs and was sharing the living quarters with
Mr. Diedrich. The area is now being utilized for storage.
Mr. Scott, who had been the former occupant of the basement area, had
been requested to notify Mr. Diedrich to request the PUD No. 1 of
Snohomish County to pull the electric meter to the basement unit. There
now remains one meter for the living unit and one house meter. Upon
inspection February 13, 1985 the meter had been pulled.
Mr. Terry Rhoades, attorney representing Mr. Otto Meyer, the resident
immediately north of the Diedrich residence who is the questioning
party, called at approximately 2;30 p.m., February 13, 1985, inquiring
about the living quarter(s) on the main level of the house and was
informed that this is now in our opinion a single family residence.
Mr. Rhoades questioned whether what had been accomplished by Mr. Diedrich
actually complies with the Board of Adjustment order of September 21,
1964.
The information in this memo was verbally relayed to Mr. Jim Iles,
Assistant City Attorney.
cc: Jim Iles
Jim Langus
-Z-
;
