FLOOD INSURANC� STODY <br />February 11, 1976 <br />(Council IIill 762-45) <br />Reid Shockey presented'a'few slides of the flood area in Everett.. He <br />then introduced George Herron of the H.U.D., Seattle Regional Office, <br />who explained the flood insurance for existing construction. <br />He said existing construction is covered under the subsidy for flood <br />insurance, but that new construction after a study had been made of <br />the flooding problem, would have to be built level with or above the <br />100-year flood level in order to get federal guaranteed financing. <br />Dave LaFrance of the Water Resource Division of the United States <br />Geodetic Survey, explained how this flood study was being made. Iie <br />said a full report will. be available to anyone in the city so that <br />those people living in the flood plain would know the restrictions <br />for new construction in order to obtain insurance. <br />COUNCIL BZLL N0. 761-30 <br />Second and Third Reading. <br />An ordinance supplementing appropriations of the budget for the City <br />of Everett for 1976; and amending �lydinance No. 376-75 and declaring <br />an energency to exist. , <br />Moved by Councilman Aldcroft, seconded by Councilman Kinch that the <br />second reading of Council Bill No. 761-30 is hereby declared the <br />third and final reading, and the City Clerk is directed to call the <br />roll for the final disposition of the ordinance. <br />Roll Call: <br />Ayes: Aldcroft, Langus, Kinch, Michelson, Ebert, Rucker, Gipson <br />Nays: None <br />Ordinance No. 387-76 adopted. <br />COUNCIL BILL N0. 762-42 <br />Fir.st Reading. <br />An ordinance supplementing appropriations of the budget <br />of Everett for 1976; and amending Ordinance No. 376-75, <br />by Ordinance No. 3P6-76, and declaring an emergency to <br />BID CALL (Council Bill 762-43) <br />4J <br />for the City <br />as amended <br />exist. <br />Moved by Councilman Langus, seconded by Councilman Aldcroft to call <br />for bids for janitorial service in various City buildings.
