STAFF <br />REPORT TO PLANNING COMMISSIOW u MAY U 9 1988 <br />SMA #1-88 <br />..................................................... <br />U.S SPRINT FIBER OPTIC CABLE CITY Or EVERETT <br />May 10, 1988 PuD11c'rvUlAs001. <br />WHEREAS, an application was received by the City of Everett as <br />follows: <br />Applicant: <br />U.S. Sprint Communications Co. <br />9300 Metcalf, Suite 846 <br />Overland Park, KS 66212 <br />Relationship to Property: Utility <br />Requested Action: Shoreline Substantial Development Permit <br />Location: In the Lowell area within the NW 1/4 of <br />Sec. 9, the SW 1/4 of Sec. 4, and the <br />east 1/2 of Sec. 5, all in T.28, R.5, <br />E.W.M. <br />Size: Approximately 1 acre <br />Project: Placement of buried fiber optic cable <br />in existing road and rail right-of-ways <br />from Seattle to Spokane, Washington. <br />The portion within the City of Everett <br />will be located in the Burlington <br />Northern right-of-way from where it <br />crosses the City limits southeast of <br />Lowell to Lenora Street and west along <br />the Lowell River Road in the City <br />right-of-way from the intersection of <br />the east City limits and Lowell River <br />Road to Lenora Street, then west on <br />Lenora Street to S. Second Street, then <br />north to a telecommuncation facility <br />located 60 feet south of Main Street <br />east of S.
