6edroom �J9 does not meet the minimum area of 70 square ieet with no dimension less thar 7 <br />feet. <br />Bedrooms #8 &:t9 can be modified to meet the min�mum floor arca. <br />Bedrooms #10  do not provide the minimum headroom required for hahitabie rooms. <br />City oF Everett permit records show that the upper floor of the structure was an a[tic. In 1972 <br />zn inspection was done on "interior stairs to upper Floor". Deficiencies were noted. 1n 1974 <br />housing inspedor Lawrence T. Erickson inspecled the property and no[ed "several deficiencies <br />,vhich may be deemed detrimentai ro the occupants or lhe public. These conditions may be <br />considered sufficient to declare the building to be sub-standard and/ or a dangerous building". <br />Scme of the deficiencies noted vaere: <br />iiall�vay to bedrooms and bath area and old stainvay to attic has not been conoleted from <br />bcing remodeled". <br />-"Window in attic facing �vest is boardcd up." <br />-"New stainvay to altic has no hand ra�l." <br />As you can see from these items, the second tloor cf the structure �•.as converted into li;� ng <br />space (rom an attic. There is also an inspection report from 2001, ��ermit "C0905-043, r.hid� <br />states "minimum ceiting height for bedroom is 7'-6"". <br />Therefore �t is the City's position that the rooms designated bedroom � 10 and bedroom � 11 <br />are not "grandfathered "and cannot bc used as bedrooms or habitabie spa�e. <br />Your request for Reasonable Accommodation dated ]une 1, 2014 may become effective ir fhe <br />recommendations and determinations mentioned above are incorporated into the proposed <br />Floor plan and resubmitted. Please be aware that because bedrooms ]0 and 11 cannot be used <br />as habitable roon�s the number of occupants allo��red (11) pursuant to Second Amended <br />Reasonable Aceornmodalion dated h1arcn 31, 2014 may not bc revised. This will depend nn lhe <br />final plans you submit. <br />�dditionally, once the reasonable acrommodat�on is approved you r�ill bc required to submit <br />��our a�)plication for a buddinq, plumbing, mr�rhanical, and cicclrical permit lo perform thc wo�F; <br />r��cuesled. <br />Please prepare a response letter showing where each item in this correction Ietter is <br />addressed on the plan set. <br />Upon resubmittal of the dra�vings, your application r.�ill be given priority and plan review will <br />recommcnce. <br />�/T <br />
