At 5001 3rd St, vras a wino Ed•+ard Joseph (Ted)
Hickey. Nickey was in a rear bedroom SE corner of the house. This place at one time
was partly gutted by fire. There is no bathroom or wr in the building, making it a
health hazard and unlivable. ilickey stated that he had paid Unsv:orth rent for the use
of this house, also that he wa. to help Unbiorth to tear doen this building. Hickey
was half drunk and kept saying tlat he rented the place from Unsworth and hor much
property and well off that Unsvorth is,worth. But we took him from the building
warnin9 him not to live in the buildi.ng as he could wind up in jail. Hickey spent
most of the winte: in jail for drnl: driving. Hickey vas advised to have a permit to
teas dorm the house.
This place is not fit for the rais to live in nor winos. Also a fire could wipe out
neighbor. Gave him a ride inio 37th St, so lie could contact Un•,worth.
My opinicn is that the building should be burned down to do away with the trouble with
kwms. Persons complaining may be over sensative.
Copy should be sent to Health Fire and Pui}ding Inspectors.
Respectfully submitted
N. Lubahn Patrolm3n
H.
