Barton :
We are pleased to presen: this geotechnical engineering report
for the proposed single-family residence to be corstructed in
Everett, Wachington. The purpose of our work was to explore i
(C' site surface and subsurface conditions and to provide general
earthwork recommendations and design criteria for foundations ,
'.J ! and retaining walls . 7he work was authorized by your
1racceptance of our proposjel , P-9595 dated Sept.ember 25, 1991 .
_ , ,
' `. The subsurface conditions of the - posed building site were
explored with two test pits. The explorations generally
encountered dense, silty sands . 7he proposed structure can be
i1. supported on conventional foundations bearing or the dense
sands. Considerations regerding reducing the potential for
slope movements must be ddressed during design and
construction.
The attached report contains a discussion of the study xnd our
"'6 recommendations .
