The parking off Evergreen Will be reserved for the retail space and the offices will be required to use the parking off Rainier. In response to questions from the Board, Mr. Wood stated that Vil.lage Square has 60 parking spaces and for retail use they would need 120 during peak times, but that it is partially used as office. Both properties are under one ownership. The City Traffic Engineer has reviewed the traffic analysis and is in agreement with what is stated. • Bob Butterfield, 606 Morgan Road in response to a question from the Board stated that Casey's was closed as of midnight tonight. Annie and Ernie Gunderson� 7314 Olympic Drive spoke regarding the rear parking lot which is used as a drinking hangout at night. Mrs. Gunderson stated they were also concerned that Rainier Drive not be opened to the south. They Were not opposed to the pro,7ect and felt it would be an improvement to the area. Mr. Wood stated the Applicant was aware of the hangout problem and was trying to work something out to correct the problem. No one else spoke for or against the pro,ject. Motion: Mr. Hoagland moved to grant the variance as recommended. Mrs. Sullivan seconded the motion. Vote: Mr. Miller stated he fe1L- the staff findings and conclusions were appropriate and voted yes in support of the staff recommendation. The vote was unanimous to grant che variance.
