WA98201 <br /> Re: Critical Area Reconn�issance on a one acre site located at 3412 Tulalip Ave. Everot[,WA. <br /> On August I, 2000, I inspected the properry located at 3412 Tulalip Ave in the City of Everett for the <br /> presence of wetland or other critical areas. The property is Icss than one acre in size and Iies as a part of <br /> Section 30, Township 29N, Range SE, WM, Snohomish County, WA. We located an iso[ated Category <br /> IV wedand near the center of the property. This wedand is less than 3,000 square feet in size, is <br /> � dominated by mu� bottom, buttercup and canarygrass. The majority of the we[land is non-vegetated. <br /> 11iis size Ca[egory IV wetland is not regula[ed in the Ciry of Everett Wedands were evaluated using [he <br /> Nashington State We[lands Identification and Delinea[ion Manual, March 1997. Classification of <br /> weQands and streams and typica: set backs were cvaluated using Ihe City of Evere[t Environmentally <br /> Sensitive Area Ordinance. <br /> $jtP Deccriotion�nd H[a�orv <br /> The site is an existing platted lot with an acce:s easement from Tulalip Ave. The site was excavated and <br /> leveled for development many derades ago. The devslopment proposal is a single family residence. The <br /> site is surrounded on all four sides by single family residential housing. The south, east and west <br /> adjoining propeRies are elevated above this property. The site is dominated by sapling red atder and <br /> Himalayan blackberry. The soils are sandy and gravelly in texture and, originally, wero three to five feet <br /> below the natural soil surface. ihese soils were formed as the glacial till pan and are compacted and <br /> relatively impervious. Surface �irainage collects in a low isolated wedand area near the center of the <br /> property. Sudace e. inage shect Ilows ro[he nonh into the City storm drainage system. <br /> Wetl�nd Descri tp ion <br /> The wetland is dominated by a mud bottom indicating ponded water with some occucrence of buttercup <br /> and rced canarygrass. The wedaud is underl,tid with sandy to gravelly loam compacted soils in the 2.SY <br /> 6/( color ran;e. The surface soils were originally sub-soil from three to 6ve feet below the original soil <br /> �3 <br />
