(No more than 1/2 page)
Consider the following items in developing the response:
• How will the library continue to maintain and update this project?
• How will this project be sustained, for example, make the collection
available to the public, implement the recommendations of a surveyor, etc.?
•
,h svide 'ewC''4t li A h 1 "139--;
• ce tha4*K Ct *fi t ry t*nt nue
the t , i t l ff if't e ojctis 400
k
• EvidencetheVtl b ry unorstadtt tw mi s ai s.
associated`withycontinuing the pr :aF a pe ,
• kf aness t s cif 000 0*as ,oft t. . e t at
the instttt i t..s, '0110010,10 i; pf .,„
The Northwest Room has always been a high priority for the library administration and Board. We
will be embarking on a new strategic plan within the next few months, and intend to incorporate
specific recommendations from the Preservation Needs Assessment into the new planning
document.
This particular project will be easy to maintain and sustain. Space has already been identified in
our Archive for the storage of the Sanborn originals. Once the digitization is complete, our web site
designer will add the maps to our Northwest history site, and the Northwest staff will let local
historians and heritage organizations know via personal contacts and media contacts. There is
adequate space in the Northwest Room for microfilm storage, as well as a digital reader/printer for
public use.
F
1 2
8 of 16
