Our first
Strategic Initiative states that Everett Public Library provides resources and space to offer lifelong
learning in the community. A specific objective under that initiative is to "maintain the vault and
archive so that materials are both easy to access and properly stored."
The Everett Public Library now has a Preservation Site Survey Report, done in January 2006 by
Thomas Clareson, (Program Director for New Initiatives, PALINET) and Gayle Palmer (Digital and
Preservation Services Manager OCLC Western Service Center). Northwest Room staff have been
working to implement the report's recommendations.
U
7 of 16
