He is not t:ying to build a monumental building that <br /> captures ali possible views. Rather, he is trying to build a house that is <br /> compatible With other structures in the area. For example, he tried to keep a <br /> low pitch to the roof. Ravines on the southeast side of the lot will preclude <br /> any bui.lding there. In response to a question from Frank Bennett, he stated <br /> that he understands that any decision by the Hoard of Ad,justment cannot <br /> override orivate covenants whieh may have been place on the property. <br /> Pearl Maddy reported that she had talked with Mr. Bocek, the oaner of the <br /> prc^ ty to the south, and he had stated he Would be ailling to submit a <br /> written statement to the Board that he has no ob�ection to the granting of <br /> this variance req�est. Everett Miller requested that this be done. <br /> Motion: Marie Sullivan offered a motion to grant the variance as <br /> recommended by staff.
